coconut water and coconut milk are completely different.... Coconut water is the liquid inside young coconut (clear) and coconut milk comes from the actual meat. Saying that they are the same is like saying Steve Jobs and Steve Irwin are the same person

Funny story time! At this fundraising walk I went to earlier this year, there was this guy handing out coconut water about halfway through the walk. Everyone in my group took one, and we all pretty much agreed it was disgusting, especially since it was warm. One of the ladies, though, she took one sip of it and spit it out...directly onto a passerby. The funniest part is that the woman she spit it on didn't even seem to notice, she was so engrossed in whatever she was doing on her phone.

Well they sell coconut water in stores and there are different kinds. There's young and old...whatever that means. I generally like coconut water, but there are some that do not taste good.

OMG THIS ONE OF THE TOP RATED POSTS?!?! WHAT IS THIS BLASPHEMY?! I LOVE COCONUT WATER! Erm, end rant. I'm Indian (but I live in Australia) and every time we go back there, we go to a little street stall, where this dude would pick a coconut, shake it to hear if there was any water inside and then hack into it with this machete-looking knife, to drink an opening for the straw. <3 It is delicious. I'm guessing the coconut water y'all have been drinking is some sort of store bought crap… at least I hope that's the reason why over a hundred people hate one of my favourite drinks of all time.

That gives me feelings of nostalgia, but instead of India it was the Philippines. You can't do tiny things like that in the US, where everything is processed instead of natural. :c
