+338 You've wondered what people in heaven would look like. If they'd look how they did when they died or if they look how they looked in their prime. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I believe somewhere it says that they look like the original plan of being perfect so say you die of leprosy and you go to heaven. You don't have leprosy and your body is perfect

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Of course there wouldn't be disease in Heaven. But would it still look like you had it? Also, what if you died when you were really old? WOuld you look old, or would you look like you were in your 30s or something?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Paul says we are given a new body. It doesn't say of what kind; I think that people would look different than they do on earth

by Anonymous 12 years ago

that would be really confusing. "are you my mom? you don't look like her." "i can't tell, are you my son?" "idk. Mom! Mom, where are you? I thought we were supposed to be reunited and shit, but now i have know idea who you are. what kind of fucked up deal is this?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thats what I was always thinking too

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"no idea" not "know idea" stupid typos

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I did some research for a similar post to this, and most of my sources said that the body would be its best/ strongest years, so around 25. Except for kids, who would stay their oldest age since they've never been 25.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wow, are you kidding me? You did research on this... You realize that no one knows, right? And let's not forget that Heaven isn't real...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Lolol, no I'm atheist. Research was from source(s) like the Bible. Well, I'm quite sure it was JUST the Bible. I didn't want to read the whole thing so I just looked for answers/quotes others have found on the subject.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, ok. I thought you were reading some religious blog where the author claimed God told them about how people look in Heaven. My bad lol.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But let´s not forget that Heaven COULD be real. Let´s not disrespect other religions here. ¨You do realise no one knows, right?¨

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, that quote doesn't actually imply that I believe Heaven doesn't exist. Even if it did exist, no one alive would know how people there look. I do go on to say it doesn't exist, though. And, to be honest, I don't regret saying this. The Christians that value their religion highly would never admit that there is a chance that they are wrong, so why should I admit that there is a chance I am wrong?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

See, you´re the immature child in the toy fight here. ¨He doesn´t want to share so neither will I! d¨ Don´t take the worst of others and reflect it back to them, but rather show them what good they could be showing. And stop stereotyping Christians. Saying things like that is exactly like saying all Atheists are evil and annoying and will all go to hell. It´s just immature. And I´m using your own quote in another setting. Because even if life exists after death, no one alive knows if it is Heaven that waits there.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Alright, well I really don't believe there is any chance in Heaven or Hell. If I did, then I wouldn't be an atheist because I would be too afraid of going to Hell... I'm not just going to claim that I think there is a chance I'm wrong when I do not believe that at all.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But it´s unfair to state such a thing, which you cannot possibly prove, and say that anyone opposing this is wrong. It´s disrespectful to state an opinion as if it were a fact. At least say I THINK that there´s no Heaven. Because it´s not something you can prove, so it´s just a thought.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't like the idea of only thinking something doesn't exist if you cannot prove it doesn't exist. That is like going around saying "I think fairies don't exist." Fairies and Heaven are both man-made ideas, so why should I put an "I think" before saying Heaven doesn't exist and not before fairies.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How do you know it's man-made? Have you any proof? Perhaps pics? Because otherwise it didn't happen, and it's just an idea that either could be or could not. This is like the Global Warming thing, there IS an idea to be discussed, and some people simply believe it and others simply don't. Neither side has much proof to support them. All I'm saying is it's only fair to admit that Heaven is just one belief of a certain group and no Heaven is a belief of another. Because that way you're at least realising that it's something that can't be proven either way.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Nor can you prove that fairies weren't a man-made creature idea.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yep.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's so weird though! What if you got up there, and this super hot 25 year old greeted you, and right when you were about to make your move, BOOM! She introduces herself as mom.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Do you think your mom was super hot at 25, then?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I thought everyone turned into the image of Jesus or something like that?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Uhm why would they do that? Then there'd be thousands of jesus's running around in heaven.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

D: idunno. It's just what my mom told me. S:

by Anonymous 12 years ago

God won't make it confusing if we do look different you will know who is who God wouldn't make it hard. A great book to read if you have questions it's called "heaven is for real" it's an awesome book you should check it out.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I've read it! It's actually a really cool book.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It is interesting. I have two theories. One: you look like you did when you were the happiest in your life. Or two: you look different to every person, depending on who they view you as. Like, your mother might look at you as her little baby, while your father might see you on your first sports team. Or something like that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The second one makes sense to me. If you saw your grandmother, you would recognize her as an old lady, but your grandfather would probably see her as he did when they first started dating or got married or something. It would be a little weird to me to see someone the same age as me who was actually an authority figure in my life.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But then your parents may think of you as a little kid, and think of your wife or girlfriend as however they saw her as, which may not have been until she was 30. Then their little boy would be making out with a 30 year old in front of them, and thats when it gets weird again, isn't it? Not to mention, how would you see someone as if you had never met them as you were living?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If I believed in heaven I would imagine everyone to look the same but made to like a 50% opacity.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I honestly never thought about this before. Thanks a lot for making me all conused now, op.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Your welcome :) And it's opie

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OP as on, original poster :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Heh, puns.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There is no heaven.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'll probably never find out seeing as I'm going to hell and all

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Imagining imaginary places. That's a classic.
