+198 If watching porn is cheating, then by the same logic so is watching any movie in which two people are dating, amirite?

You watch porn to get sexual gratification, not to be entertained by a story. If two people are dating in a non-pornographic movie, it's happenstance. You don't watch their relationship to have your need for a relationship fulfilled in your life.

Tell this to single Twi-hards.

It's just the concept that I'm talking about. You're either watching two people you don't know have sex, or you're watching two people you don't know be in a relationship. Neither is in any way unfaithful to your significant other.

Yes, the former is, because of your motivation.

They aren't the same thing, but porn isn't cheating.

I would not exactly consider it cheating either. But you shouldnt watch it if you're married.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

WTF why?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You should watch it MORE if you're married.

What if both the wife and husband (of wife/wife or husband/husband... just to be PC) watch it together? It's often recommended to sexually frustrated couples.

I wouldn't consider it cheating at all. I mean, please don't watch porn more than you're spending time with me but it's perfectly natural for people to watch porn out of curiosity, sexual frustration, entertainment, whatever! Sometimes people play out their fantasies by watching porn; see something they think they'd like to try in the bedroom or something they're too embarrassed to try but want to see it played out.

If watching porn is cheating, then your significant other is crazy.
