+185 You've thought about how cool it would be to be ambidextrous before, but then realized how much work it would take to do so and decided not to bother, amirite?

My sister actually spent her entire summer one year trying to learn to write with her left hand. It kind of shows how much spare time she had on her hands.

Did it work?

I always wrote with my left hand when I was bored at school. But it wasn't until I broke my right hand that I mastered it.

Sometimes just for fun I do random tasks with my left hand. It's about as coordinated as a baby giraffe on stilts. Ice skating.

I'm getting decent at it. Just can't write. Can sort of use a mouse as well, which is weird because I don't change the buttons.

I wonder why you were using the mouse with your left hand hello

Considering your username I may as well tell the story. I was eating some rice and playing a game, so decided to use my right hand to eat. Which is weird, because I usually use my left. It worked though. Cool story, eh?

My friend said he could switch hands without missing a stroke. That was an interesting conversation

I tried to teach myself to write with my right hand once. It didn't work very well, but my non-dominant writing is still better than most of my friends'.

I think to be truly ambidextrous, you have to be born with it. I didn't teach myself to be right handed, I just was.

Story time! My grandma was born left handed, but at the time, it was not acceptable to do things with your left hand, you had to use your right. Well, because of this, my grandma's mom taught her to use her right hand for all basic tasks. When she started school, she was required to use her right hand, but at home she used her left. I just think it's cool how she still uses both hands when writing and how she can switch hands so easily.. I'm left handed, and I can't imagine not being allowed to use it. But I guess that was the way things were, you know?
