+530 Women shouldn't kill their unborn children, but it should still be legal because women would just have abortions that are extremely unsafe instead of abortions done by doctors if it became illegal, amirite?

you can't kill something that is unborn...

Yes you can. Born and alive are not the same thing. I'm just playing devil's advocate, though; I am pro-choice. But that doesn't mean I'm going to defy logic.

This post is exactly right. That's why all of the arguments about abortion being wrong are pointless, because it's going to happen whether you like it or not. The only difference is that if it's allowed under the law, it is done in a safe and controlled environment. The other way, there's a higher chance that the woman will die.

That's pretty much the same argument people use to try and legalise crack and heroin. I happen to agree with both arguments, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

Oh my god, enough with this abortion crap. Why is it anyone else's choice for what a woman wants to do to her own body ? Why does the government and everyone else, EXCEPT the actual subject, having a say in what they want to do on their own terms?

However, if we can develop a good enough contraceptive, abortion should go way down. For example, the USSR decided it didn't need birth control during it's heyday, so there were roughly twice as many abortions as births. Since the fall of Communism, that number has dropped sharply because they put some money into getting decent birth control.

What if the women was raped and could not provide everything that a baby needs?

I agree that it should remain legal but I think your logic is flawed. Usually, people who are against abortion in general believe that it should be outlawed because they consider unborn babies to be living things, making abortion murder. Most people who are pro-choice (or at least myself, and people I know) think that abortion should stay a legal thing because the real issue, whether or not it's really murder, is if fetuses should be considered lives. Because there is not absolute way to determine this, people's opinions on the matter are exactly that, *opinions*. So, I think it should remain legal because people are so split on the issue, meaning that it should be an individual woman's choice as to whether or not she thinks that abortion is the right thing to do (at least partially based on if she thinks that her unborn baby is a life).

I think you're exactly right. Everyone has a different opinion in the matter, and we never will agree. So who is one person to determine they're the only one who's right? If it remains legal, then the pro-choice people can still have abortions if they want, and the pro-life people don't have to.

A baby's heart starts beating after 23 days. Killing something living is murder.
