Admittedly though, people from other countries see a lot more of America from movies and series, as most of them are filmed in the US.

I was asked once if Venezuela is in Africa, I lost my faith in humankind that day. I feel like the next question I'm going to get is if I live in a hut or something.

I think that is due mostly to our countries media. most of the time it just centers around us and our affairs, but in other countries their media may focus on world affairs or affairs of the U.S. As well as their own because we are the worlds top country.
