Sorry, considering the fact there ARE actual abused (battered) women that are killed daily, I don't see the humor. Humor is supposed to make light of things and leave people feeling good. I guess we have different standards. I appreciate puns and wordplay, but not about such horrid subjects

I feel people need to stop taking things so seriously and learn to laugh. I have been physically abused, and I do not take offense to this post, nor do I find it horrid or I would not have posted it.

To me, I just don't see anything funny in this kind of joke. or dead baby/abortion jokes. Basically anything intentionally offensive or negative. In my mind, I believe humor is used ot escape the negative, not perpetuate it. I applaud you for not letting your former situation cripple your spirit, but that puzzles me all the more as to why this would amuse you?

Why wouldn't it amuse me? There's really nothing against battered women in this joke. It would make more sense to be offended by the cannibalism in my opinion.

I agree. I don't like that either. I suppose I personally react more strongly to the abuse part because at least in my mind it is much more common than cannibalism. At least i would hope so. Being killed by like a stalker or jealous ex is more likely than to be killed for food I would think. However, for the official record i do not support,engage in, or condone cannibalism.
