If a lesbian dates someone who is basically a man with a vagina, why not just date a man? Call it ignorance, I just don't get it.

It makes perfect sense to date someone who is "basically a man" when you don't like penises. Though really, gender is not black and white. Lacking femininity does not make a woman "basically a man." Gender is all about how the individual perceives themselves to be, not what they look like or what's in their pants.

I don't see how it's difficult to understand. They are both lesbians and don't like penises. They like vaginas, curves, and boobs. The Kim Kardashian esque woman may be into women with more masculine personalities. The butchesque woman may be into women how behave like women. Or maybe they just met and liked each other?
