The same phenomenon is true with the States & McDo. It's strange because most countries use identifiers that are based on their history, (such as places like Egypt,) language, (places such as France,) or native religion, (such as Tibet,) whereas the US and Canada, which are relatively new countries, identify themselves using franchises.
