No it isn't. Applying the same rule to those people in Africa, it's incredibly selfish of them to complain about not having food or money because there are people that are DEAD elsewhere.

I come from africa ( south africa ) to be exact. It aint that bad every where and yes having less children would solve a lot of the hunger problems but having lots of children is a good thing in a lot of african cultures

People starving in Africa does not take away our right to be unhappy about something, any more than people making millions of dollars takes away our right to be happy about something. Nobody can possibly avoid feeling happy or unhappy at some point. It is part of being human.

It's not selfish. "Ungrateful" would be a better word, but even then there's nothing selfish about wanting a soda or being annoyed for not having cell service.
