-49 Although most of the time the new Pokemon made in the newer generations are completely ridiculous, the added evolutions to Pokemon that didn't have evolutions or only had two in the first generation, like Magmortar for Magmar and Magnezone for Magneton, are pretty cool, amirite?

Or pokemon who now have preevolutions. How did you not know about munchlax, pichu, cleffa, or igglybuff? You would have to have seen them to get the pokemon from the first generation! Seriously, they must think we're stupid.

I think the fifth generation got a bad rap. Considering the fifth generation of Pokemon is completely original in origin (no roots or evolutions from previous generations), it turned out pretty well. They also came out with neat attacks and abilities, and it's good that they have Pokemon that are based on such unusual concepts. New generations are good for broadening cultural views, and I believe this generation accomplished that. Plus, there are some really neat pokemon in this generation like Volcarona and Golurk, not to mention the legendaries.
