Yea, temporarily...

if anything too much money just causes more problems.

I think money can enable happiness. For example you would probably have more fun if you and a friend went out to eat, went shopping, maybe bought some movies, etc. than if you were both broke and couldn't even afford gas money.

"they say money cant buy happiness but id rather cry in a Ferrari" ;)

Studies say that more people who win the lottery lead depressed lives because some of them can't tell who their true friends are and who are just around for their money.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I feel like winning the lottery would be an exception because you go from not having money to having a ton of it. If you were actually rich you would probably live around rich people so that wouldn't be a problem.

It just depends on what you want in order to be happy.

If i won the lottery, i'd buy a nice house, and finally buy all the Jethro Tull albums.

Saying that money can't bring true happiness is total bull shit. Yes, love doesnt cost anything, and hanging out with friends is free, but sometimes BUYING something with MONEY can intact bring you sincere happiness. When I bought my first car with every cent of my own money, I was beaming with happiness. Without money, we'd be nowhere.

In fact*

(Chapstick):money buys us material things that lead to temporary forced happiness, not natural happiness like hanging out with friends

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Nah. Money buys things we like, and things we like make us happy. It's as simple as that.

Heroine?

If money can't buy happiness, then drug companies wouldn't be selling depression drugs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Money can't buy you happiness, at least not true happiness. Happiness comes from true friendship, love, and being happy and proud to be who you are. You don't and shouldn't need a dime to truly have that.

Money can buy you things that make us happy!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You could buy/order a mail order bride/groom, and then if you ended up loving them, it would be because of money.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The only time money could buy us happiness is if we used it for real things. Instead of buying materialistic things, why cant we use it to end world hunger...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

money can buy puppies and concert tickets and high-quality chocolate. so money can buy potential happiness.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've always believed that money fends off sadness.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly. Like if all youve wanted your whole life was a puppy but could never afford it, and then you have enough money to buy it, thats what your happienes is.
