Being gay shouldn't be considered a bad thing... I'm straight, but it sort of annoys me when people talk about homosexuality like it's some absolutely unacceptable thing while there are a shitload of teenage pregnancies, kids smoking and getting shitfaced in middle school, and other, bigger, issues that people pretend not to notice.

The word "gay" is not an insult, when people try to use in the place of "stupid" or some other word that actually IS an insult, yes they insult whoever they're talking to, but they're being just as or more offensive to people who really are gay because they're calling them whatever word they replace with "gay".
