Grammar isn't as important to the extent you're talking about it. Little mistakes are okay. Sometimes people forget how to properly structure sentences regardless of learning how beforehand, and just going out of your way to correct them like it's the most vital thing in your life is a huge exaggeration. Besides, this is how grammar evolves and changes. Little things become norms and eventually we start taking out things and adding new ones. We talk and write a lot differently than we did 500 years ago.
