+321 There's a difference between exposing people who have never heard of Christianity to the faith, and being annoying as hell, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

hell is pretty annoying isn't it

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not planning on finding out

by Anonymous 12 years ago

same here, that would suck

by Anonymous 12 years ago

hell would suck, wouldn't it. lol

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well in all honesty it would be better to never speak of christianity to someone who hasnt heard of it because in the bible it says anyone who hasn't heard the word of God doesnt go to hell (free pass to heaven) so if you tell them and it confuses them or they decide not to believe, then it's on your shoulders that they are now damned to hell.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've never heard that... where in the Bible does it say that?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Romans 10:14-15 revelations 2:7 deuteronomy 1:39

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So what you're saying is it's better to take away someones option so you don't have to worry about what they chose? Hmm. Where have I heard this logic before?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Who the fuck hasn't heard of christianity?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

People in third world countries without access to books, internet, or people who believe in other religions than what they were brought up with and/or forced to believe. Some countries persecute you if you don't believe in the muslim faith.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just because you don't practice it doesn't mean you haven't heard of it, also there are so many missionaries out there that preach to all the poor african kids that there has to be almost 0 people who haven't heard of christianity

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not every missionary can talk to every person. And if you dont practice it, then they only way you can hear about it is from missionaries. And it's not just africa. There are over 7 billion people in the world, i imagine there's some out there who have yet to hear of the christian religion.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

of those 7 billion people in the world 2.1 billion are christian, think about it that's more than a quarter of the world practicing one religion it would be hard not to hear about it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ok if thats what you want to think. I know that's not true because my sister does missions and each time she goes to another country she meets more and more people who've never even heard of any religion besides what they follow. But if you can't understand the concept that while Christianity may be the most followed religion that there can still be people who've never heard of it. That's fine.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There are whole countries that have never even heard of Christianity. Example; North Korea. Don't believe me? Look it up.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I can find no evidence of people not knowing what Christianity is North Korea if you can find something for me that says otherwise that would be great.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

A lot of isolated African and Asian groups.....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's not evidence honey that's just you saying things.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I didn't reply to you last time for a reason, honey, so why are we still talking?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

l2understand replies

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its called google lrn2use it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

you should l2reply too, and you're telling me to use google when i did and found no evidence of what she said so i was asking her to find it for me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Heres what I found in two seconds on google, http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_North_Korea showing that N. Korea heavily suppresses Christianity and has at times persecuted/killed folloers. That can show you reasons why christianity would not be well known there. Also do you honestly believe if a country and its citizens are so poor they have no access to food or water that they somehow will find christianity? what are they going to do, get on their imaginary computer and google it? You obviously are just being an ignorant prick now and I see no more reason to reply to you since everything I've spoken of is EASILY found on the internet (as I've shown)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You said it yourself, they heavily suppress Christianity anti-Christian propaganda things like that just because they don't believe in it doesn't mean they don't know what it is. You also need to quit taking this so personally i'm trying to have a discussion without calling you a dumb bitch but you're making it very hard.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not taking this personally but stupid people who try to act like every one else are the "stupid" ones really piss me off. use logic and you can see why you're seeming ignorant. Let me make it more clear, there are right now 10,000 different religions in the world (can you google that or should i do that for you too), do you know all of them? No, so why would someone who lives in a country where not many, if any at all ever discuss this one religion. Or people who live in areas where they don't have access to people outside their own cities, and everybody follows the same religion (that's not christianity bc most non westernized countries don't follow christianity). Again can you even begin to comprehend how that is a situation that occurs even today and why it would affect their ignorance of Christianity? If not, then really you can call me a dumb bitch all you want but I and everybody else who's been downvoting you know what's up.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, that anon who keeps downvoting me really knows what's up. But why would i need to know all 10,000 religions? Do more than 1/4 of the entire world follow those religions? I'd say no but more than 1/4 of the people in the entire world are christian I don't think you really are understanding how many people that is.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its called google lrn2use it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually, there are more ways to be exposed to faith than practicing or through missionaries.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I realize that. But when you live in a country that has a limited access to electricity and basic needs. and when everyone around you paracticies the same thing, it's hard to find out a new religion. It's not like us, where we can google all the religions in the world. Without technology we wouldn't know as much as we do about religion, and thats what I'm saying. When you are in a 3rd world country the only way to learn new things is by other people telling you, ie a missionary.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

http://ctrlv.in/61037 I'd say Christianity has spread pretty far, even in third world countries. Regardless, would you consider missionaries in first world countries annoying because the people in those countries are already aware of Christianity?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My sister missions and still meets a lot of people in deprived countries who have no idea of anything beyond their village, that includes religion, technology, and other basic things we take for granted. my whole point is that there are still some people, the other guy wouldnt even allow that comment to pass. And i find anyone who tries to convert when converting is not wanted annoying. Just because you've heard of christianity doesnt mean you know what it is. I'm sure there are christians out there who can't name all the apostles and could use a refresher, and missionaries doing that wouldnt be annoying.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What Countries?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What countries..i said three different statements about religion in countries, what are you questioning?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They seem pretty similar.
