+406 You're glad amirite is taking action against SOPA, amirite?

That'll teach me to search better before posting. ono My apologies.

I support SOPA 100%. Im serious.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not like we wanted you on the internet in the first place.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I agree. Heck, I wish the Internet was just one website where you had the option of looking at pictures for $15 a picture, that'd be nice

I don't support SOPA but I'm a little bit worried when giant corporations like Google and Wikipedia seem to have more say in our laws than the Congress. It's much safer to have elected officials who represent the people make policy decisions than multimillion dollar companies aka "corporate America". But then again, it's kind of awesome that so many people and corporations are fighting for my right to serf the web.

We're not taking action, we're raising awareness.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I'm glad and all, y'know, I'm anti-totalitarianism and what not... but the black background is getting pretty annoying.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're right, but it's a small price to pay.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I assume this is a joke, yes?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes. Thank you for being one of the few who realized that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sorry if I sound stupid but what exactly is SOPA? And I'm on the mobile app so what is amirite doing to protest it?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm replying so If anyone answers your question about SOPA, I can read it also. Amirite chaned th background color to black, and posted some links explaining it and how to help fight the bill. I would have read that articles but I'm on the touch site and my iPod was having trouble loading the pages.

Unfortunately, it's no use. The government is too stubborn and too greedy. They won't care about upsetting millions of citizens, as long as more money is being put into their pockets. We're powerless. The age of citizens having power is long gone. And since when does the government care about public opinion? I really wish this SOPA doesn't pass, but there's no way in hell we (the individuals) can prevent it from passing. But then again, once corporations ae involved, it's a completely different story (only because those corporations care about their reputations. Remember godaddy?)

Everyone in the government wants one thing above all else: to get reelected. They need public opinion-or at least public ignorance and apathy to do that. The government has messed with the internet and the internet is biting them back in the ass really hard. Corporate America is more powerful than any government body.

Yes but it was a fucking fail. I mean, changing the theme? C'mon.
