It's crazy to think that Thomas Jefferson wrote the entire Declaration of Independence without an eraser or Wite-out, amirite?

Nope, actually they wrote several rough drafts and a scribe wrote the actual document on parchment.

They also could erase their mistakes, though I forgot how. The document initially referred to people as "subjects". This was erased and changed to "citizens", as shown by some high tech scanning.

I believe that Henry W. Longfellow actually wrote it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
