+165 Having a belief or a religion is great, whether you're muslim, atheist or you don't have a religion but you believe there is "something more" than this life. It's your opinion. But it's unfair when people go around saying they're belief **is** the truth. Instead of "there is a God judging you." They should say "I believe there is a God judging you.", amirite?

thats a good point, and you're right it would never happen. But at the same time, there are people out there (maybe not westboro baptist church) who have a belief, but at the same time realise that it's unfair to shout it out as if it's the utter truth. My point is that you can still believe something 100% but you are aware that others have different ideas about religion. Do you get what i mean? It's not about your belief or faith, but almost about common courtesy to others who have the right to opine.

My brother is an atheist and gets annoyed when religious people follow their beliefs because he says it's "wrong". Fucking prick.

Yeah, I hate it when other atheists are like, "There is no god" instead of "I believe there is no god". And vice versa.

It's ok though because I'm an atheist.

I dunno Logan, there are a lot of self righteous, arrogant people in this world.

I don't think they mean any harm in it. I think the "I believe" part is just implied.

When I was in second grade, we had to come up with examples of facts and opinions. So this girl said God existed was a fact, everyone agreed except for me so they all gained up on me and asked me why I didn't believe in God. My seven year old self was pissed.

I completely agree. My family is Catholic and we celebrate the holidays that go along with that religion. Though, for me, it's not really the whole religion part, it's more about the family and getting together that I like. I, personally, am Wiccan. I plan to raise my children Wiccan, but I'll always tell them "This is what I believe". If they later tell me that they're Jewish or Christian, I'm perfectly fine with that.
