It bugs you when people try to talk smarter than they actually are, amirite?

I do not try to speak in an intelligent manner, but people say I do and claim I am trying too hard or attempting to act a certain way. I find that a nuisance more than anything. :c

It must be your lack of contractions. This isn't an essay, you can say "I don't"

Back in elementary, I did that A LOT. And the problem is, I had no idea what I was saying, but neither did the other kids. They believed everything I said was true because they thought I was the smart one.
I remember my assumed intelligence allowed me to make everyone believe people was spelled peepol. I was arguing with this girl.
"THATS NOT HOW YOU SPELL PEOPLE"
"YES IT IS! SOUND IT OUT -PEEPOL. IF IT WAS SPELLED HOW YOU SAID IT WOULD BE PEE OH PUL"
Since I was the "smart one" everyone agreed with me.

That's actually really adorable haha

Haha, you sound like me! Except, I pretended like I knew sign language & had an arguement on how you sign the letter 'a'. & the girl I fought with later became my best friend (:

Especially when they don't do it right. Ex: "The house we looked at previously looked very considerate" to say it was a nice looking house.

Especially on the internet. No comment (on any generic site) makes me angrier than "You sir are a [insert generic insult here]." Saying "you sir" in front of everything doesn't make you sound any smarter, especially when it's followed by a childish insult.

You sir, are a poop.
by Anonymous13 years ago
well played good sir, well played indeed! i bet he is none to happy with your insinuation that he is defecation.
by Anonymous13 years ago
His happiness does not concern me, he is a poop and that is all there is to it.

It's especially annoying when the person is so stupid that it should be illegal, and then they get in a fight with you, and rather than make good points, they think they can just use big words, spell them wrong, look smart, and win the argument when that's so obviously wrong.
