At my old school we always called our teachers by their first names. None of this Mr. and Mrs. stuff

I'm pretty sure I've never had a class where I //didn't// know the teacher's first name. We always call them by their last, though.

It was actually really sad. A teacher most of our class hated found out her first name was Edwina and everyone laughed at her.
