+247 We should not be forced to watch documentaries that present a completely one sided political ideology in school. How about you give us both sides and let us think for ourselves instead of trying to push one side on us, amirite?

That's seriously what they did today in a document of Religion of Scientology. People were like, "Holy shit, sooooo bad!" But they forget that there's two sides to every story.

In Geography, our teacher first showed us that documentary from Al Gore Then next class (or a couple after, in the same period anyway) he showed us a documentary about the other side of the story (forgot what it was called)

Wouldn't you form your own opinions anyway?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

you would form your opinion based around the information given, extremely biased documentaries though only give you information from one side of the topic in an effort to convince you to think what they want you to think.

When I watch or read things I determine what I think is BS no matter what side is given but I do understand what you're saying.

yeah I would normally put more research into a subject before forming an opinion. but in your high school classes most of your classmates probably would not do the same.
