+37 Everyone should be required by law, to work at least 1 month of customer service and 1 month in the food industry to gain respect for the crap these people go through, amirite?

All these people down voting are the ones that have never worked In these industries. Or never worked.

You've got that right. I do feel slightly sympathetic for the people that get the douchebag customers, certain members of my family being said douchebags, but I would be fired that day for going off on idiots like that.

No. Just no.

Maybe then people would realize the customer is almost never actually right.

I'd agree with this post if, instead of working for one month each, people worked for a week or two weeks each.

You can't get the full effect of how dickish people actually are in 2 weeks. And honestly, what's a month of your life? If you had to work full time that's still only 20 days.

This is true. But I feel there are a lot of other crappier jobs too...

How about a 4 year contract with any branch of the military? See the real price of freedom.

I completely respect and honor what our armed forces do for our country, but this is just about making people realize that they don't have to throw a raging tantrum just because they got cold fries or the store didn't have the item you wanted in stock. I just want everyone to chill the fuck out.
