Depends. Would you actually have to carry the ladder, or would it be stored in some sort of pocket dimension? Because if it's the second, it could have multiple uses. Need a weight? Pull out the magic ladder. Want a chair? Ladder time. Getting mugged? Go all WWE on their ass. I mean, how awesome would it be to just point your pocket at someone and summon a ladder?
