If eating meat is necessary, then how am I still alive?

I know eating meat Isn't necessarily essential but my point was killing an animal for fur and killing them for food are 2 completely different things.

Killing for food and killing for fur are two completely different things. But meat WAS necessary about 50-100 years ago, before we found more efficient ways to harvest vegetables. And before global warming became a problem. It takes a lot of resources to manufacture meat.

(ninja.power.hour): I don't find a need to eat only vegetables. I like my protein very much. In fact, eating meat helps give people jobs.

I'm fine with fur stuff, as long as the animal didn't go to waste. We eat all of cows, pigs, etc. If you kill a rabbit for its pelt, at least take another hour or two to make a nice rabbit stew. Give the stew to a homeless shelter or soup kitchen.
But that's just me. I'm not a huge animal activist or anything, nor an animal activist at all, but meh.
