+264 It's dumb how, if you make fun of fat persons weight, You're a horrible person. But it seems alright to do it to skinny people, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

exactly. i am underweight, and it's shitty seeing things like "who wants to look like they're anorexic?" when obviously it would be offensive to post something like "who wants to look like a whale?". Calling someone who's underweight anorexic is like calling someone who's overweight fat. its rude.

Not fat, obese. Your point was correct, but your analogy wasn't the best.

People make fun of features that cannot be changed like height, skin color, but for some reason, weight is completely off limits. It does not make sense. Like if I get made fun of for something I cannot change, i go fucking apeshit on the person.

you skinny bitch

I was called anorexic all through school and when I got upset my teachers told me to "suck it up." I jokingly called my friend chubby, which she obviously wasn't, and I got in trouble. It doesn't make sense.

You told on someone because they called you anorexic? no

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was being bullied. I got mad at one of the students who called me that repeatedly (as well as a few other things), the teacher asked why, I told them, they told me to "suck it up."

No disrespect for you, but what shitty school did you go to with the shittiest teachers?

H.E. Beriault Catholic.

People always jokingly call me anorexic and it hurts my feelings a lot because that means I look sickly thin. I'm actually trying to gain weight as well.

My friend is literally a stick and she is always calling herself fat. So, jokingly, I call her anorexic as a way to get her to believe that she truly is skinny... Is that wrong?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That really doesn't seem funny at all.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

uh, yeah. there are people that call me anorexic meaning it as a compliment but it's not, its just mean.

I grew up in my mom's family of naturally skinnier people (average height but 90-100 pounds sort of thing) while I got my dad's side of the family's build and I'm more thicker (average height, about 140-150) so I've been called fat and such by comparison while at the same time I've seen my thin mom and sister get called 'anorexic' and 'gross' because of how skinny there are. It's not right either way, and I'll never understand why people feel the need to insult other people's weights.

That's why I just make fun of everyone.
