Dropouts don't always get shitty jobs.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And no job is degrading if you enjoy doing it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Uhmmmmm yes they do? lol, they'd be LUCKY to get a job at Burger King anyways without a high school diploma. & right, I'm sure everyone enjoys making 7.40 an hour :P

Not true. I have a buddy who dropped out and became a truck driver. He and his girlfriend now travel across the country making deliveries and he is bringing home bank. He says its one of the best decisions he has ever made.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, truck drivers make some serious bank. Lol.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, he makes more money than most 16 year olds.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But he'll always be making that much money. When he's 40 and still making amount of money as when he was 16, he'll regret his decision.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I know that. But that's not the point of the post. He is making more than a person working in a fast food restraunt and will always be making more. I told him he was stupid for dropping out, but its his life and I can't control that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He'll only regret his decision if he suddenly becomes unhappy, and a constant income doesn't automatically result in unhappiness.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Uhmmmmm you're an idiot.

The reason it seems like most dropouts have shitty lives is because they lack ambition; which is why they dropped out. However, there are a few who drop out because they realize they can get their GED, get an early start in college (if they want), and get an early start in their life.

True, but you miss out on a true high school experience which i have always found to be vital to your social well-being, which can be more important than the actual education itself.

It's funny because my brother dropped out of high school and now works at McDonald's, hahaha

Now days a GED and a high school diploma are the same thing.... When applying to a job it doesn't even ask to specify either are good enough.
