I think humans would just learn how to supress thoughts and perhaps become more able to control their subconscious mind.

Well, I think sexual thoughts would become less taboo, so that wouldn't be much of a problem. As far as the mean thoughts go, I'm not really friends with people I hate. I may lose a few friends, but my best friends would still be there.
