One time at my school these two kids sat at the same lunch table every day even though they both hated each other. They didn't have to sit there, of course, we didn't have assigned seats or anything; they chose not to move because they both thought they shouldn't have to. They were both expecting the other to move. Every day they'd yell at each other and threaten each other the entire class period until one day they actually got into a fight. They both ended up getting a 5-day suspension, which means 5 days of 0%'s on tests, quizzes, and homework grades for absolutely no good reason. This all could have been avoided if they'd been more passive. If you say "cool story bro", I swear to god...

Cool story bro, haha just kidding, but I hate people like that too, but thats not assertive, assertive would be the guy asking what his problem is, but, pushing all your emotions in to become "passive" can be just as volitile, I'm actually a pretty cool dude, I just am assertive, not a jerk or a bully, assertive

That's cool but I wasn't saying not to be assertive I was saying that everyone should be more passive. If they were more passive it wouldn't have happened. There's this really cool skill you learn in school called "reading comprehension". You should practice.

You may just pass this off as some misguided judgement but you should seriously re-evaluate your social perspective in this situation. This type of mentality is what leads to genocides. Read your statement and tell me Hitler/Stalin/Hussein/School bully wouldn't have said the same thing (excluding the "silly panda" part, obviously).

If EVERYONE was passive, like I said, you wouldn't have to be assertive to get what you want and like the anonymous person above me pointed out, there'd be no one walking over you in the first place.

I was unaware that every single human being can only possess one trait. A person can be both passive and opinionated. If someone were to come up to me and tell me that all Christians are stupid (I'm a Christian), I wouldn't just punch them in the face, but I also wouldn't just accept what they said.
