Alex DeLarge and Willy Wonka are pretty much the same character. They both star in 1971 films set in Britain, they're slightly mad, dress flamboyantly, commit crimes, and sing while taking a bath, amirite?

I get why you'd make that argument.... but I still don't see it. One likes children and owns a chocolate factory... the other's in a gang...

When do the last two ever happen in willy wonka?

Crimes- he basically steals an entire species from their homeland and then doesn't pay them anything, illegal in Britain at the time. Also no person has entered his chocolate factory until the kids, so it's never been health inspected
He took a bath and sang on that weird car thing when Mike and Charlie were the only kids left. That's kind of loose
