I'd hate it if someone did it to me, and most people would, so out would make me really uncomfortable and guilty. Plus I don't want to know what my friends and family think of me with zero filter, I've thought some fucked up things about then that I didn't mean.

maybe only read minds of people you hate, and how cool will it be for you to telepathically link your mind with some of your class mates when your doing a test, or to know exactly what people think of you when you present to class or something

Uhm although id love to read minds, I don't think id need it; sure I could apply it to trivial everyday things and cheat my way through life. But with super strength I could help people and be a hero. Plus Im just a large person and the strenrh would suite my size better than reading minds lol

by reading minds you could much more, I mean you could tell who has criminal intentions and save many lives, with super strength a single bullet and your through and mechanical means could easily level the playing field.

Well with super strength id just throw on some tank armor. I could change the tide of wars. Kind of a low tech ironman. Even with knowing peoples thoughts, doesn't mean they'd act on them. Its their freedom and it shouldn't be infringed on.

Well in this day and age, intelligence is a much more valuable asset.If you knew someones thoughts you'd also know how likely they would be to act on the action and also the words that would mentally disarm them. As for freedom you are really just choosing which form of power to use to take away freedom, you either take away their freedom to act by force or freedom to privacy through thought. Both could be used to great harm if used maliciously, I'd just rather have the telepathy required to make larger scale change.

Well either way id use the power only after the act, to do so before would infringe on their rights, to do so right as the initiate however they would have already given up their freedoms. Everyone deserves their privacy, even if mind reading was used preventively for some crime.

I know, though, that I'd feel so guilty about using it. Especially on a close friend or relative. Even if it was controllable, you'd give in now and then to temptation. But it would make for an amazing gaydar.
