Not true. All the assassinated presidents were elected in a year ending in zero, but not all presidents elected in a year ending in zero were assassinated.

While not quite right it is true that every president elected in a year ending with 0 starting with William Henry Harrison and ending with Reagan did die in office, Harrison (1840) got sick, Lincoln (1860) assassinated, Garfield (1880) assassinated, McKinley (1900) assassinated, Harding (1920) got sick, FDR (1940) got sick, and Kennedy (1960) assassinated. That is a weird coincidence.

There was a curse made by a Native American that said that each American president elected on a year ending with 0 would die in office because Harrison was involved in an a brutal attack against a tribe. Though obviously there is no way to prove that was the cause, what an impressive coincidence :)
