There should be a single word to describe any sort of musical entity. Musician doesn't apply to groups, Band doesn't apply to individuals, and Artist makes you sound posh and anal, amirite?

I think "artist" is starting to sound less pretentious. The more often we call Justin Bieber a music artist the less posh it sounds...which is a good thing.
