Because they care and think everyone has the same rights as a human being? If there were no straight people standing up for it, gay rights would be getting nowhere.
Yeah, it sure is a bother having to care about other people's human rights. Being straight must be difficult!
... I'm willing to admit I'm not 100% sure which side you're on. Are you saying straight people shouldn't have to be involved in fighting for gay rights, or are you saying they shouldn't make decisions about gay rights for gay people, or shouldn't have taken them away in the first place? Which stance are you taking, because I read it that straight people shouldn't concern themselves with something petty like the RIGHTS of people of a different sexuality.
OP, if this is what you meant, then you're right. Straight people shouldn't have meddled in the lives of gay people to begin with. It just sounds an awful lot like you're just saying "not my problem".
The point is that we shouldn't even need "support" from straight people. Gay people never voted as to whether straight people could marry. It's ridiculous that this is even a problem, in my opinion.
its also rediculous how men are getting involved in gender equality, and how white people are getting involved in race equality!
/sarcasm
I understand the point that OP is trying to make because I'm not an idiot.

I believe the OP means straight people shouldn't have taken the rights of gay people away because it doesn't concern them.
That's how I read it.

Sorry... huh? I'm not criticizing or anything, I just honestly feel I don't understand. How is it ridiculous?
Straight people shouldn't be concerned with homosexual marriages, much as most homosexuals aren't concerned with straight marriages.
Good luck to gay people getting any rights without support from decent straight people.
The point is that we shouldn't even need "support" from straight people. Gay people never voted as to whether straight people could marry. It's ridiculous that this is even a problem, in my opinion.
You shouldn't but you do. Without some straight people believing in gay rights you wouldn't have any.
I was confused too, but I think it's just the wording. I assume OP is saying straight people shouldn't interfere with gay people getting married?
