+264 You wonder if the presidents you will live through will be remembered like John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, or if they will be basically forgotten, like Rutherford B. Hayes and Warren G. Harding, amirite?

Guaranteed, Obama will be remembered. Maybe not for what he has done, but definitely for the superficial fact of his ethnicity.

Maybe if he had made any significant, positive impact he would be remembered for more than his skin color

He was the president who caught Osama bin Ladin... Garuntee he'll be remembered

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I believe Seal Team 6 did that. Oh man I hope he doesn't get the credit

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Point is whether or not it was him, he was still president when it happened

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Bush'll probably be remembered because of the whole 2000 election fiasco...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think he'll be remembered for the war, if anything.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No probably 9/11, if anything

by Anonymous 11 years ago

He is remembered for the election thing and 911. It is in the history books already.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ah, gotcha.

As others have said, Obama will be remembered for his race, Bush will be remembered, but I think because of 9/11, and Clinton might be remembered for his impeachment and "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" and the blue dress and all that. Other than that, I definitely think that the first Bush will not be remembered. And those are the only presidents I've lived through.

Eh, the impeachment is going to be mentioned a lot, but I don't think anybody will really care that much. Policies, programs and events are really things that are remembered to shape a country, not a bunch of pissed off republicans .

by Anonymous 11 years ago

True. I don't think he'll be strongly remembered. But personally I first knew Nixon for the Watergate scandal, and I didn't learn his doctrine until several years later.

I think first Bush will be remembered but only for being second Bush's father. He'll get a nice mention in a sentence for also being president.

I'll always remember Hayes because I did a 3rd grade project of him and drawing his beard was fun :)

The president I always forget is Calvin Coolidge... I generally go 'Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Herb-- wait no, I missed out that dude in the middle!' >.>
