+241 It's great to be honest to a certain extent. But when you find a random $10 bill on the floor in Wal-Mart and you turn it in to customer service...you have a problem, amirite?

Because if it's inconvenient might as well ignore it

There's actually this jar in my house that we used to keep for money we found on the floor. And whenever the jar would get towards like 20 dollars, my dad would add it onto our donations at the end of the month. We did this cause, just because you're lucky to find money on the floor, doesn't mean it's rightfully yours. You did absolutely nothing to deserve it except find it. So, it's better just to put it to a good cause.

I remember one time when I was 7 or so, I was at Home Depot with my parents. While we were in line to check out, I saw a 5 dollar bill laying on the ground, and my mom was going to let me keep it. Then we saw all this other money (like $50 worth), so she took it to the customer service desk. I didn't understand why she did that because do you know how much 50 bucks is to a 7 year old girl.

I found about $70 in cash on the school playground under some rocks when I was 5 or 6 years old. Now, when you're that young, $2 or $3 is quite a bit. Finding $70+ is striking gold and finding oil under it. I kept it and put $50 in my piggy bank. Then I went out and bought some Pokemon booster packs and got the holographic Charizard. The moral of the story: Don't have morals. Just keep the money.

It's not that I don't have high morals. But if someones name is not on it, how would it ever get back to the right person?
