It's sort of weird. and Imiss being able to pick the color.
I'm guessing Anthony is still playing with it though, he often makes things better fast.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Just discovered you can pick the colour. You -> Settings -> Theme.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'll probably get used to the new format eventually but mine's being all glitchy :/ I can't even access my settings because of it.
oh haha nvm it just started working okay. If I may be a little whiny, it's not the same light blue :(
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's probably for the better, but it's definitely gonna take some time to get used to.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Okay, now I'm used to it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm not sure I like the backwards comments.
by Anonymous12 years ago
See the "Sort" section right above the comments? Click the replies button and it can switch between ascending and descending order
by Anonymous12 years ago
I saw that at almost exactly the same time I got the notification for that reply.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't like the reverse order comments at all. The sidebar when you click on the posts is cool.
Nor do I enjoy the embiggened font size and buttons. The transparency looks cool, though.
The popup thing when you mouse over avatars should have the same type of transparent box as the rest of the site.
Oooh, and that persistent follow thing of the post text while scrolling down the comments is nice.
by Anonymous12 years ago
so far i am not liking it, maybe because it is confusing but maybe in a few weeks i will change my mind..but i do like the lazy mode tho
by Anonymous12 years ago
Honestly, I hate it. I agree with you that it might take getting used to, but right now I want the old one back. Anthony, PLEASE GIVE US OUR AMIRITE BACK.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well. I personally don't like it because it's all centered and....solid? By solid I mean that the coloring is flat and there's no shading or blending of color. I guess that may be a trivial thing to dislike, but oh well. The comments are quite unattractive in my opinion. The stark white hurts my eyes a bit, and the green/red outlines are not necessary. everything seemed more 'easy' to look at when the comments were not so bright.
As for the post layout, I don't like it at all. In fact, I think that the posts should have the white background and black text rather than the comments. Also, having the YYA and NW buttons in the center bothers me for some reason.
I feel like I'm ranting for no reason.... >.>
by Anonymous12 years ago
Also what does the little arrow that is on some of the people who have messaged me mean?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I thought it would be that, but it turned out not to be, I think it might be broken.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm not a huge fan now, but if this is permanent I probably won't notice a difference within a few days.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Actually, I've now noticed a few things that bug me. The comment section is kind of confusing, and I don't like that posts are now "featured" instead of "homepaged."
by Anonymous12 years ago
The "featured" part I really like :)
by Anonymous12 years ago
I feel like it's too complex. I'll probably forget about it in a few days, though.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I guess it's all about perspective.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Sucky get rid of it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I really like all of the themes and the transparency, but I agree with everyone about the comments.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't like how the average score on the post is smaller.
But other than that I think I like it
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't even know. I mean there's nothing else in particular I don't like but in general it looks busy.
Like everyone else said though we'll probably forget about the old one in about a week
by Anonymous12 years ago
Are we not able to homepage posts anymore?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oh ok thanks.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't like change
by Anonymous12 years ago
You just changed your picture though...
by Anonymous12 years ago
....I don't really know what to say to that
by Anonymous12 years ago
Everything feels so much more ordered now.
Anthony puts a huge amount of time and love into this website constantly fixing problems and working to make things better. Before people jump on him for changing things, perhaps you should all have a thorough look around the new website to get to know it first before judging it. For example for those who are complaining about the lack of ability to change the website colours: Go to settings accessed from where your username is on the right of the menu and click theme for a large number of colour schemes and themes, or for those who don't like the new replies order then just click replies above the comments to sort between ascending and descending, click the buttons in the top right above the posts on the posts pages to switch between list and "lazy" mode and perhaps you'll find it an easier and more relaxing way to view posts. Hook your computer to your TV and sit back and relax and view Amirite posts in comfort.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Youre so cute
by Anonymous12 years ago
Great.. now I gotta get used to this. I like the black background but I hate how the score of the post is displayed.
by Anonymous12 years ago
HOW DO I CHANGE THE COLOR IT'S TOO DARK!!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oh, found it. Thanks.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Would that be the reason why my amirite app isn't working?
by Anonymous12 years ago
The app isn't working for me either, and it was doing fine about an hour ago.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't really like the new way posts look, the new how you voted outline on comments, the inability to reply to a specific person, the lack of color in the favorite area of posts and love area of comments, and the way score on posts and comments is displayed.
I do like the percentages of agreement, lazy mode, and the new way comments and posts are dated (although if it gets less specific over time I won't).
Overall I say ditch it. I might get used to it but I'll still like the other version.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I would appreciate it if the average score was easier to see, and if the oldest comments were at the top. Other than that it's kind of cool.
by Anonymous12 years ago
See the "Sort" section right above the comments? Click the replies button and it can switch between ascending and descending order
by Anonymous12 years ago
Cool, one problem down.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It looks like he fixed the other problem too now. That's pretty awesome.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You'd like it if we were able to switch between the old and new layouts, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think we should be able to switch after a month. It will give us time to get used to it and learn all the new stuff. I'm not liking it either, but I will probably start to like it just like how I learnt to like the old theme.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Sort of the beta site before the old one. And how the new one was optional for a while. I liked that. It gave me a chance to get used to it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I do like the percentage feature. But it just looks... odd.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I like the layout but I hate how dark everything is. It's harsh to look at.
by Anonymous12 years ago
So if you like it then why vote NW? Go to the Theme section in Settings to change the colour scheme.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It actually freaked me out when i first went on. It scared me because everything was so dark. NOSTALGIA
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think the sizes and fonts of the posts are a bit overwhelming. and yeah, the average is less noticeable.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Can I ask why the decision was made to not have replies to specific users in threads?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I like the comment system change because of situations like this: http://amirite.net/715728/1697609
I had 3 people reply to one of my comments saying basically the same thing and in order to reply to all of them I would have had to make the same comment 3 times. I ended up only replying to the first person so the other 2 didn't get notifications saying I replied.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I miss amirite greeting me at the top of the page. It always had something nice to say.
Also, I think the comment layout should default to how they were before, with the choice to make them go the other way. It's kind of tedious to have to reverse it every time you click a new post, and I think most people will tend to go with what they're used to.
And amirite guy looks a little claustrophobic behind the logo letters, poor dude.
Other than that, and the facebook feed not being on the homepage, I think it looks great.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I do miss the random amirite greetings, yes, but I'll forget about it soon ;)
by Anonymous12 years ago
First off, I appreciate how Anthony puts so much effort into making the site a better place for us and more user-friendly. //However,// I don't think this version is as user-friendly as the last one. I also don't like how mobile and touch sites are rarely updated, mobile especially.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I kind of like the way it is now. All it needs are a few touch ups, like being able to suggest a post for potd. And i wish i could see the list of people following me but i dont have to have that. umm I cant think of the other things right now...
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'd like to draw/post a picture and those things you mentioned are pretty much the only things I want updated/fixed.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's a funny joke.
by Anonymous12 years ago
One thing I don't like is how I can't get to things on my profile from the sidebar, which is how I usually did it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I really like the new comment format. I also like the layout now a lot more than I did when I first saw it (dunno why). I just feel that the voting buttons are out of place with the new design.
Edit: I also fucking love the new themes that have been added. I can't choose which is my favorite now :(
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think the voting is perfect where it is. It brings the focus back to the whole purpose of this site.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I would make them match (non-opaque grey background and white text) and make them a tad smaller. They stick out too much, which probably was the point but it looks bad to me.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Also, this happens if you change your vote on the same post without refreshing the page.
http://img.ctrlv.in/4fbad6b811024.jpg (Original)
http://img.ctrlv.in/4fbad6ea389e0.jpg (First time)

http://img.ctrlv.in/4fbad73c1a398.jpg
http://img.ctrlv.in/4fbad77e295e2.jpg
by Anonymous12 years ago
Awesome, now you've got all the power ;)
by Anonymous12 years ago
Also it's hard to see what the POTD is, that is, distinguish it from the rest of the posts.
And changing the way you view the comments every time you go on a post isn't good - it should be changed so that setting that you click is saved for whenever you go on a post.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I can't switch out of lazy mode when I switch into it, the list of options when you hover your mouse over the top toolbar thing is blocked by the ads and I find it harder to distinguish different posts.
by Anonymous12 years ago
And what's up with when I push no way a second or third time the yes you ares and no ways go into the trillions?
by Anonymous12 years ago
People would've probably liked ot better if the change was gradual
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well here's my commentary that no one will really care about but:
-I like how it shows the post off to the side as you scroll down the comments
-I like that it shows how many minutes ago something was posted as opposed to the time that always confused me.
-I like how it has drawn pictures in the "You Might Also Like" panel
-I like the new theme options (though I wish some were lighter)
-I like the drop down box for your profile
-I like the lazy mode
-I like how the fonts look on posts
-I don't like that you can only see who voted on a comment if you voted the same way as they did on it
-I don't like the percentages instead of who voted how (but that might be because I was so used to it)
It'll take some getting used to but it's pretty cool, in my opinion!
by Anonymous12 years ago
I've tried hovering over the numbers and nothing seems to happen.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oops, I realize my mistakes on both of those now. Thanks for clearing it up! Awesome job on the site. (:
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's a little confusing having people only be able to reply to the last comment in a chain as well. I could see that getting messy very fast.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah, I was getting a little confused at that too, actually.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree with you.
by Anonymous12 years ago
the posts should be centered too (like the comments)
by Anonymous12 years ago
I really love it. The themes are amazing, and everything looks modern and clean. Lazy mode is probably the best thing ever. I would get it on a shirt if I could. I'm not really sure why everyone is freaking out over the comments when it's essentially the same except for the reply system, which is actually much simpler and better.
by Anonymous12 years ago
The comments will be hard to get used to but other than that I like it a lot.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's okay, I'm not sure how I really feel about it yet. I really don't like how you can only reply to the original comment though because people get into debates on this website all the time and sometimes, it might be off of someone else's comment. If somebody else replies to the original comment in the middle of a debate, it's going to get confusing really fast.
I like the themes and the "You Might Also Like". I think I'll get used to the way the posts are. I really like how, as you scroll down lower, you can see the post on the left. Many a time I've been reading comments and completely forgotten what they were even talking about.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I can't access my settings at all
by Anonymous12 years ago
It has some really neat things about it, but I wish the font size was smaller on posts :/ I feel like it's taking up excessive space.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I like all the new color options in the settings. I like a fresh layout, it keeps things interesting. My only (very minor) complaint is that at the top it says "best" but it also encompasses the worst, most commented, etc. I think it would make more sense to change it, but it's not important. EDIT: I just skimmed through the comments, so someone may have mentioned it, but is there a way to view all of the people that agreed/disagreed?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Also, on that note, is there not a way to see who voted up/down on a comment or am I just stupid?
by Anonymous12 years ago
MATT! =D It's to the left if the up arrow.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I just realized you said "who voted" not how many votes there are.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Hey!
And Ant, for some reason it doesn't work on my computer, but on that note, not much does anyways.
EDIT: Nevermind, I was being stupid, I got it now. Thanks.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It took little over an hour for almost every problem I had with it to be fixed.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Hmm, I don't know, the themes seem to me unflatteringly flamboyant...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Ummmm, it's lovely, how do I sign in? ._.
by Anonymous12 years ago
My only comment (though absolutely unnecessary) would be to put the arrows in the same spot on lazy mode no matter the size of the post, so that way you can be very lazy when looking at posts and not have to move the cursor.
Also the average score is hard to notice.
The rest of the site is very neat! It will definitely take some getting used to, but I think there have been many good updates.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oh! I formally retract the first part of my earlier statement. I realized you could just use the arrow keys, which is very helpful!
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's all right, I think there's a little too much empty space around posts and comments which to me looks tacky but that's just aesthetics. Other than that it's fine.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think that lazy mode is definitely awesome and I will definitely be using it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
At first, I logged on and was frightened like a little girl by the prospect of change, so I left. Then I came back, knowing what to expect, and I really like it. I changed my background to the nice wood panels and it is //so// much easier on the eyes and //very// classy.
My one real critique would have to be the homepage button. I think it should be on the post itself, not with the comments. It was much simpler and just made more sense, I think. I'm sure there was a reason it was moved, but if there's a way to get it back, I know it will be much appreciated.
As always, thanks, Anthony, for another awesome update. I especially love the voting colors around the comments. It looks really, really awesome.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well this sucks...
by Anonymous12 years ago
The font and posts are way to big. There should be a way to toggle the two versions. I mean, what you like is what you like, Anthony should'nt be ashamed that some people don't like it. I like the new features, but not the general layout of them.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think the post shapes are unflatteringly flamboyant, but the rest is eh pretty cool.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Hey hey hey, you just used the phrase! :p
by Anonymous12 years ago
It probably wasn't the best idea to put it on the most seen post today
But you should get your three points
Godspeed
by Anonymous12 years ago
Nah, it is just my luck! I was checking Truuninja's profile ten minutes ago or something.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I clicked on No way, but I wasn't sure if I clicked it or not, so I clicked it again and when I did that, the number got several digits larger. And I clicked it multiple times and it kept on getting larger.
by Anonymous12 years ago
If you keep clicking on the YYA or NW, the numbers like, get huge.
by Anonymous12 years ago
http://ctrlv.in/87660
by Anonymous12 years ago
I got to -364,286,576,486
by Anonymous12 years ago
+7.978,797,979,787,978e+31
I have no idea how that "e" got in there
by Anonymous12 years ago
Would the e mean x10^31?
by Anonymous12 years ago
That was my first thought. Quite a large number
by Anonymous12 years ago
The greetings are gone. That is not okay.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Uhm I like the old version better, but I do like a few of the new things. I think that it would have been better to incorporate them into the old layout.
- I don't like how the date the post was created is changed.
- I don't like how you can't vote for homepage without clicking on the post.
- Everything seems a bit too spaced out.
- The new comment system isn't all that good, it makes much more sense to reply to a person.
- The voting buttons being in the middle is pretty handy, maybe not as big as they are though
- I love the new theme colours.
- I think lazy mode is a cool feature.
- The notify me of new comments is awesome.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Ah ok, I didn't see that before. I suppose a lot of the little complaints people have is just people getting used to it and discovering things like that which aren't so obvious as they were before.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Lazy mode is officially awesome. I love it.
It would be perfect, though, if you could favorite a post with - say - the control key. Unnecessary? Yes. Epic? Absolutely.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That would work, too. I just said ctrl, because it's right next to the arrow keys.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You can use the up and down arrows as well to vote. The text at the bottom of the lazy mode screens has those directions, so you're going to have more people using them.
by Anonymous12 years ago
The letter commands aren't working for me, but oddly the arrows are. Any suggestions?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Windows (one of the newer ones (7? Xp?)) and I'm using google chrome.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Just tried internet explorer and the f key worked by the other three still did not. Weird.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Haha. It is, isn't it? Damn, I feel old. I just realized I'm running 7. That makes much more sense.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Does anybody know why some comments are outlined red and some are green?
by Anonymous12 years ago
It depends on how they voted on the post. Red is "Now Way" and green is "Yeah, You Are". White means they haven't voted.
by Anonymous12 years ago
hmm, doesn't seem to work for me
by Anonymous12 years ago
http://ctrlv.in/87678
by Anonymous12 years ago
It looks like it's working. Like I said: If it's just white around the comment, it means they didn't vote.
by Anonymous12 years ago
ohh I get it now
by Anonymous12 years ago
How do I turn lazy mode on?
by Anonymous12 years ago
nevermind got it
by Anonymous12 years ago
On the homepage, it is on the right, under the tool bar. It's a little black square.
by Anonymous12 years ago
My only complaint is that the font is way to big. Other than that it's decent.
by Anonymous12 years ago
IT'S TOO SOON TO ASK!
by Anonymous12 years ago
It brought up alot of suggestions making it good though. However, I believe that negative score would change if people got the chance to get used to the layout first.
by Anonymous12 years ago
First timeline and now this </3
by Anonymous12 years ago
I like the new site, and although it will take some getting used to, I think it will be great.
I just have one major issue. You can't reply to one person in a comment thread, and it makes everything very confusing. There weren't really any issues with the old way, so please change it back!! I need to spend a bit more time on the full site though, because I mostly use the app.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Because that means that I would have to type out your name, Johnny, and this poor commenter just received a notification for no reason other than to annoy her.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yes Kruger, I agree with you.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Ant, who was that comment aimed at? See, I find it confusing. I liked the comment threads within threads.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I understand that, but I still find it confusing. And I think that Kruger's point about everyone getting the notifications could prove to be irritating. But that's what humble opinions are for :) For the rest, the site is great.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I guess it's growing on me... It seems a little too big to me though. And I do not like lazy mode that much, but that will probably grow on me too. I do really like how I can see the post in the corner even though I scrolled down the page. Maybe now I won't forget the topic at hand.
I would like to reply to a single person though. I feel like being notified when people reply to a thread you commented on will get kinda old, especially if you comment on POTD and a butt ton of people comment to the same thread.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I really do not like this. It's boring grey instead of purple :( and it just doesn't look visually appealing.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I like all the new themes, but the whole website feels a bit... I dunno darker.
I like how the comments look like speech bubbles, but it seems so cramped in the middle.
I miss how it tells you what the post number it is, but I love the lazy mode.
I like the whole translucent post thing, but it makes the website seem darker, like I said above, maybe if instead of being shaded, it was lighter? That'd probably look stupid, but either way, it looks too dark now.
It'd look better if the comment background and the post background matched I think. I like how it shows the post up in the corner.
I can't see any option to look at just drawings or just images or just writing, which I liked. I don't like how big the YYR and NW buttons are, in fact everything seems to have increased in size. I preferred it smaller.
I really like how you can switch posts once you click on one post without going back to the homepage, but I'll miss amirite greeting me, some days it just really cheered me up.
There. I prefer the old layout, but I'm still adjusting. I'm sure I'll learn to love this one!
by Anonymous12 years ago
It takes a long time to get to the very bottom of the page, and then to go back up. Maybe transparent up and down buttons in the corner to directly go down to make a comment, or to reach the top of the page. :)
Other then that, I really like it, and I also like the Facebook timeline... because change is good! :)
by Anonymous12 years ago
Okay, I've spent a lot of time coming over the new site, and here is my two cents:
I like all of the new features, including Lazy Mode, suggested posts, and new themes. But overall, the site seems to have lost the Amirite feel. It's too spread out. Also:
-I don't really like the larger font and translucency in the posts.
-I don't like that the homepage button is on the comments page.
-Name changes are sad! You can't make the homepage the featured page! It's almost disgraceful! And groups into topics seems unnecessary. I have to change the links to my groups I put in my profile.
-Speaking of groups, it seems work is coming, but my frisbee group is gone.
-Also, it's a bit of a personal tick, but it annoys me how Anthony has taken ownership of all groups/topics like some dictatorial warlord. Although I didn't really use my ownership of my groups often, I still feel violated that he took that back away from me.
-The new group categorization is pretty neat, but it makes browsing for groups tough.
-I feel there will be consequences for limited replies directly to the comment thread.
-It would be handy if the bar atop the site followed you as you scroll down for easy navigation.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's sort of what I meant. No one can change banners, etc. except you (as far as I know). I was just messaged by someone asking me to change the banner in a group since the new layout cropped the images, but I couldn't. I'm sure it's for the best for the site, and technically it is a *privilege* you bestowed on us from the beginning, not a God-given right, but it still irked me.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Just two more additions: I can't seem to find a way to limit the posts to just drawings are just text, and when I view posts in topics I'm following, it shows posts twice if they are posted in two different groups I am a member of.
The site is very pretty though. A true work of art, although I stand by what I said about it losing that "amirite" feel.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Actually, I tried just being on here for a while and it seriously bugs my eyes out. I'm getting headaches after just a few minutes being on.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It looks terrible. Change it back.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It feels all clustered and a little claustrophobic o_e no room man
by Anonymous12 years ago
I wish the font on the posts was smaller/ adjustable. The whole site feels cluttered and super busy.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Also, is there no way that we can homepage posts without having to click on each individual one?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Can we have a choice between layouts? Pleeease? (cry2)
by Anonymous12 years ago
Overall, I like it.
I just can't seem to find a setting/option to turn off votes on posts showing before I vote on said post. Usually, having votes turned on influences my vote.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I HATE IT
It gives me a headache and it's not fun to use like the old layout....
I don't like how it looks like the First World Problems site I liked the posts when they were on the side and the font wasn't so big...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Err nevermind, I just don't like that it's big and the color sucks too.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I did change the theme, but it's not the same color as beforeeeeee
by Anonymous12 years ago
Light blue...
now there's only grey-blue, and light blue that hurt my eyes... the other colors hurt my eyes aswell because they're too bright.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I like it. If it stays, no one will remember what the old one used to look like in about a week anyway. The new themes are nice too
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's reallyy bad
by Anonymous12 years ago
Things I like:
- The post follows you at the top left of the screen as you scroll down the page
- The "notify me of new comments" option
- you can add citations even after you post
- tells you exactly when a comment/post was posted
- comments are easier to navigate
- lazy mode
- drawn posts in "highest scoring posts today"
- groups are more organized in categories and subcategories
- the colored outline around comments
- tells you who is on mobile
- "featured" instead of "homepage"
- "hot topics" at the top of the featured page
- "other posts you might like" (though i wonder how it determines that...)
- i can navigate my own profile from the top bar now, not the right side of the screen
- arrow that flips between individual posts
Things I don't like:
-amirite guy is hidden
- how posts say "___ thought this about (group name)". I liked it when it just had a tag for the group
- how tiny the comments/loves icons are on the posts
- how tiny the username/pic is on each post
- percentage of people who agree (not really necessary)
- see through posts (I like em white)
- greeting is gone
- placement of "other posts you might like" (before the comments is too distracting and cluttered)
by Anonymous12 years ago
It hurt my eyes, because it all changed back to grey and grey gives me a headache in a block.
So I changed that shit to turquoise, and now everything is chill again.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't like it because it just looks so cluttered. It looks pretty confusing (even though it's not). The previous layout was better because it was plain and nice. Yeah, everyone will get used to this after a while, but in my opinion, I think it should be changed back.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Is it grey for everybody? or am I doing something wrong?
by Anonymous12 years ago
it seems a lot narrower than it needs to be, in terms of how much space it takes up in the window
by Anonymous12 years ago
How the crap do we reply to comments? Also I agree with something said above - maybe in a month and a half or so we should have the option the use the past format. Then we can choose based on which we prefer, instead of just raging now because of change. Admittedly, I am somewhat discontent, and that's why I'd like to give it a little time.
On a side note, I love how this post is basically the go to place to discuss the new layout.

ABSOLUTELY Hate, the new format.
I don't like having to click everysingle time i read 10 words, i want to just skim through them and have a solid quantity of opioions in one page.
This new format forces me to read every single amirite opinion one by one, labouriously. Sometimes pple just want to read the high scoring ones or lowest scoring ones, This format doesn't allow this. This is like feeding a starving person with a tiny drip. Amirite opinions are 95% crap anyway, the ppeople who like amirite only like it for the 5% which is awesome quality posts. this new format forces you to sift and stare at the 95% crap.
