+237 While you would be proud of yourself, it would be awkward/sad to be the only one of your friends to get into your college of choice, amirite?

Yeah, I feel ya. While I'm not the only one, I am one of few who got into their first choice and has the scholarships to pay for it. What's even more awkward is when you're the only one that got accepted to a certain school and no one else did.

How is that awkward? That's the number one used word on here and it usually is describing the situation completely wrong. If you're going to the college of your choice, you should feel grateful not sad because your friends did something to make it so they couldn't go to their first choice in college.

Awkward is the number one word white people use. You want your friends to succeed (or at least you should) so you should feel bad for them that they didn't get into the college they wanted while still being proud that you got into yours. It's going to be awkward because of everyone is saying they didn't get in and you're sitting there like "Uh... I did get in." That's just an uncomfortable conversation. They're going to be happy for you, sure, but there's probably going to be a little jealousy there too.

True friends would be happy for you as opposed to feeling jealous.

Like I said, they will be happy for you. I don't think you can control feeling jealous and obviously they wanted to get into college too. I don't mean "I should kill you, take over your life and go to college instead", I just mean "Oh. I wish I got in..."
