People I see say "Reading is stupid." while they're picking up a copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I love reading just as much as any other, but some people just don't share a love for reading just as much as I don't share a love for math. As simple as that. When I was little, reading gave me a literal headache, in spite of the book.

I'm very fond of reading. But you are generalizing; not all people who don't like reading haven't picked the good books yet. Not liking something doesn't necessarily mean you haven't tried/seen it is good part yet. Some people are just not into reading.
