+177 the man is always assumed to be the bad one in a situation. for example, if a man is chasing a woman, people would assume he was trying to steal something of hers. if a woman was chasing a man, people would assume that he already stole something of hers. when it could easily be the other way around for both situations. amirite?

Poor men. It must be really difficult for you having the woman be painted as the helpless, incompetent victim in the scenario you just mentioned. I sure hope all your other political, social and financial benefits are enough to make up for it. :P

I don't know if I would automatically assume the chaser is the thief, even if he was male. Would you chase someone through a crowd just to take their wallet?
