-55 People should know that Gaia (named after the Greek deity) is our planet's 'spirit', encompassing the rock, life and the concept that out planet is conscious, while Terra (named after the Roman deity) is just the third rock from the sun, amirite?

Sonic Unleashed taught me that... the Gaia part anyway.

Why? ... That's completely useless information.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

So should everyone know everything, then?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Alright, but for 99.9999% of the population, that's completely useless. So saying people should know it is ridiculous.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No, but the poster did, and you agreed.

I do know things I don't have to, but that doesn't mean I should know things I don't have to. If that were the case, then according the the logic of the post which you agreed to, I should know everything.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Let me be more specific. People who want to talk about it should know. If you don't talk about it, and have no desire to, then you shouldn't know it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Alright, that makes more sense. I'm staying with my NW, though, because the post doesn't say that.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why do you all NW? People talk about this sort of thing and they should know what they're talking about.

I mean, people keep saying that most planets are named after characters in Roman mythology, and Uranus after the a Greek deity, but then ours is so pathetic that we just call it'Earth'. It's called Terra, dammit, the Roman deity of Earth. Since it has life, Gaia also exists as the planet's spirit, according to Gaia Theroy at least

...Please tell me I'm not the only one who saw "Terra" and thought of Kingdom Hearts.
