+150 It's weird how France are stereotyped as the country who surrender because of what happened in World War 2. Most of the countries involved in World War 2 surrendered, and France put up far more of a fight than the majority of the rest of Europe, amirite?

Napolean wasn't French. Rule #1 of French military: France wins if Rey are led by someone who isn't French.

They didn't even fight to save Paris. They abandoned it and left it open for Germany. You don't just leave your capital and let the enemy take it without a fight. Then they signed an armistice in which they allowed Germany to control most of the country //and// had to disband their army. I'm sorry, but no one fought harder than Britain in Europe during WWII. Britain kicked ass and never let Germany take control of any part of it's territory. France certainly didn't fight as hard as it should have to save itself.

If you put all the countries of Europe into a list and ranked them on which ones gave Germany most trouble, France would easily be in the top three.

They did a lot when working with Britain and the US to fight in other places in Europe, but as far as keeping the home front safe, they did a terrible job. One would think that you'd protect your own belongings before helping others protect theirs.

Russia kicked the most Nazi ass in WWII. They were a steam roller.

Right, but the key word is "major", Germany invaded several more countries who put up a lot less resistance than France. You don't deserve to get known as the country who gives up just because you actually put up a decent resistance before you gave up.

The U.S. didn't even join the war until 1941, they basically sold their munitions to the allies to gain money, while not fighting at all. Canada did way more than the United States.

We played an important role however. True, we were being isolationists up until pearl harbor, but we did have an impact on the pacific front.

Some freedom fries and some freedom toast sounds really good right about now. Btw, your hair looks really nice, you should make it into a freedom braid. After that, we can make out and freedom kiss.

Freedom toast is good for your soul.
