In cartoons, you can always tell when a certain item will be important to that scene because it will be really outlined and detailed while the surrounding items are just blah, amirite?

Huh. Whenever I watch things like Winnie the Pooh, I can tell which branch will break and stuff because it will be like colour penciled in while everything else will be more detailed cos it doesn't need to move.

It's actually always the exact opposite :|

If you've ever seen a cartoon, all the background is very detailed and the objects that get used are less detailed. In the past, it was VERY obvious what would be used because they had almost no shading.
