Meeting your husband/wife on an online dating site isn't very romantic, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Personally, I can't see myself doing that, but I can't speak for anyone else. Someone might find that romantic, and who cares where they met.

My roommate found his girlfriend online, I personally don't see anything wrong with it. I find it good that they met because 1. she is hot, and 2. they probably would've never met without the internet, and they're very god for each other.

OP meant dating sites, not just online.
by Anonymous12 years ago
@Anonymous
First of all, the OP said "online." Also, you won't find any dating sites that are offline. So my question is...
Stupid or ?
by Anonymous12 years ago
haha and it was on a dating site

You said 'god' when you meant 'good', and it is common on amirite to make a joke when someone does a typo like that.
I won't make a joke, and now if someone else does it won't be as god.

@anonymous
You said 'god' when you meant 'good', and it is common on amirite to make a joke when someone does a typo like that, so I am taking the liberty to assume the role as joke maker.
HHAHAHA! WHAT A FRIGGIN DUMBASS!!! HE SAID GOD!!! LOLOL LET'S ALL MAKE FUN OF HIM!!! ROFLROFLROFL FUCKING IDIOT!!!!! DID YOU EVEN GO TO SCHOOL??? BECAUSE IF YOU DIDNT THEN THAT MEANS YOUR NOT EDUCATED!!! BLAHBLAHBALH !!! I HOPE YOU'RE NOT ATHEIST, BECAUSE YOU SAID GOD!!!! I'M SO FUCKING WITTY!!! HAHAHALOLOL!!!!!

Mine wasn't a typo.
Now if someone makes a joke about the typo, they won't be God.

@YeahIAm OP said "online dating sites" not just "online". "Online" can be an online game, forum, site, chat, whatever, which I think are more romantic than "online dating sites". Now you get it?
by Anonymous12 years ago
It'd be the same as meeting them at one of those singles places.
Now meeting them on a random forum such as say... amirite, now THAT would be romantic :)

I accidentally added this guy on facebook that I barely knew. We ended up being best friends and now he's been my boyfriend for a year. Whenever people ask me how we met, I lie to them because I think it's kinda embarrassing.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I was not expecting that sentence to end like that. Do you have friends in conmon on FB, you could always say you have mutual friends :)
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree but I also think it's just like all the other technological advances that people are ignoring--i.e bookreaders. In a few years it'll probably be the norm

Where is a romantic place to meet someone?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Not on the internet.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Not what I said.
As opposed to where? Where is a place you can meet someone that is more romantic?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Somewhere in real life.
by Anonymous12 years ago
So if you ask someone where they met, and they say McDonalds or something, you'd consider that romantic?
by Anonymous12 years ago
It would be a cuter story than "Well, Mary was my number one match on eHarmony, and so I messaged her and asked her out."
by Anonymous12 years ago
No it wouldn't.
The way or place you meet someone has no effect on how romantic a couple you are.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Gahhhhh I'm talking about the story of how a couple met. My dad and stepmom are very romantic and cute, but since they met on a dating site the story of how they met isn't very romantic or cute. Get it?
by Anonymous12 years ago
The story of how anyone met isn't romantic or cute.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I give up.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Good idea, I'm clearly too retarded for your perfectly valid point to get through to me.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's just my opinion, not a fact. But since you believe that the story of how a couple met can't be romantic, then I guess there's no point in arguing over it! I was just trying to explain my opinion.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You're right, that last comment was really quite obnoxious of me, and I'd like to apologise for it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I accept your apology :3
by Anonymous12 years ago
In my opinion, it's more romantic when two people fall in love when they aren't desperately trying to find love. My dad and stepmom are celebrating their one year anniversary soon and I just don't think it'll be very romantic when they go "I remember when I first saw your profile picture on eHarmony...."
Just thought I'd add that.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think the approach is not important, the point is the result--- you find someone you love. On another aspect, if you fall in love with each other online, do not know his friends, families, and surroundings, that is called romantic, you just love who he is, not because of his surroundings.
I met my husband online by a dating app. He is my soulmate and I am happy when I am with him. If you want the app, you can ask me.
