That's the one and only point of commercials That's like saying "you know it's a good cat if it meows" Or "you know it's a good social network if it lets you socialize" "It's impressive when a calculator calculates" "it's impressive when a cook makes an edible meal" "...when a teacher manages to teach you something" "...when a comedy makes you laugh" I could go on for hours.

Have you seen commercials? A good bunch of them are annoying or ineffective. That's why it's surprising when you actually see one that does its job.

The point of commercials, yes. But how many times do commercials actually make you want to buy the product? I think the point of the post is that commercials often are entertaining, but they don't affect your desire for the product. So it's a really good commercial if it does affect whether you buy the product or not.

You all sure are clever, saying the exact same thing. But look, not all teachers manage to teach you things, not all calculators work, not all comedies make you laugh, etc. But that doesn't make it impressive when they actually manage to do their //one and only// goal in life. And commercials are just one of all these, I don't see why they're so special to have a specific post just about //them// being impressive.
