+89 Only when you see a fat person in Ethiopia, can you blame being fat on something, if you are not a healthy weight, instead of blaming things for your weight, take some humility, lose that excess weight and get healthier, amirite?

There are historical incidents of isolated populations with almost no overweight problems shooting up to a 90% overweight rate after being given modern industrial food for the first time. Ethiopians who are literally starving are not a good example of a population to watch.

I'm not focusing on them, I'm mainly focusing on the people who believe they can't help being an unhealthy weight, not using Ethiopia as a race to watch, I'm just showing how it's literally impossible to naturally be an unhealthy weight, and be unable to be skinny

It is not //literally// impossibly to be a naturally unhealthy weight -.- And I read your comment stating that people in your family are big but you helped yourself. That's awesome for you and I'm glad to hear it, but not everyone is like that. Some people have thyroid problems and shit like that that makes it nigh impossible to lose weight.

ono Ok, first of Ethiopia has 82 million people in it, I guarantee not every single person is skinny. I know the percentage is higher than most other countries because they have less resources (this also includes medications that cause weight gain). The people that are starving are not naturally that weight, they are at an unhealthy weight because they are malnourished. Yes if every fat person starved themselves and was severely malnourished they wouldn't be fat any more but that is not healthy.

Weight is not an indicator of health. You can be overweight but still have a clean bill of health. Besides, it's none of your business what they do with their body.

Keep in mind that Ethiopians hardly have anything to eat, so their metabolism isn't going to play a defining factor in their mass, seeing as they have nothing to consume. However, in a first world country, even if we eat generally pretty healthy, a slow metabolism might mean weight gain, regardless of the food. A sandwich for one person could be more impacting one on persons body then someone else's. I feel like I'm going off topic... basically, if someone in Ethiopia has a slower metabolism than someone in say, the USA, obviously they're still going to be skinnier, because they don't really have food. We have food, so we eat, so we're bound to be bigger than them. Ok I hope that made sense... if definitely did in my head but I had no idea how to word it

I understand, but I'm just coming from the point that your body can adapt, no one is naturally unhealthy, your lifestyle has a big part of it, I would still be fat and horribly picked on if I didnt get off my but, but I'm 6'5 now haha I don't think that will happen
