J.K. Rowling should write a spin-off series of Harry Potter and base it on someone who goes to another wizarding school, like Durmstrang or Beauxbatons, amirite?

She could write a grocery list and I'd read it.

@TargetLady She could write a grocery list and I'd read it.

"Oh my god, she put eggs before chicken! There must be an underlying meaning -- what if she's trying to tell us that the egg came before the chicken in the evolutionary process? The plot thickens!"

Or the pot thickens, depending on what she's cooking.

If anything I would want to read about the Marauders

Sounds more like fan-fiction material to me.

Even if it ended up being good, people would just compare it to Harry Potter so much it would ruin the fun.

I think Harry Potter should be left alone. Anything more would probably just look like a desperate stretch to keep the series going. She ended at a great place, enough for some closure, but still with some questions. At this point, you could just go searching through the millions of fan-fictions out there if you really wanted more.

I'm happy to see that she's starting a new book. It seems like it going to be completely different from Harry Potter, and I'm interested to see what else she can bring us.

I have always wanted to attend Beauxbatons. Those outfits are freaking cute.

THarry Potter is great. Anything else written about it (whether it's about the Marauders or your Beauxbaton/Durmstrang idea) won't be successful because it WON'T BE HARRY POTTER and his story. People still haven't gotten over the fact that it's ended.
