+153 Graduation caps are wide and square so as to provide sufficient shade at graduations, most of which are sweltering. amirite?

I would hate to have my Graduation be outside. I wouldn't be able to stand the heat.

It's awful, mine was like 100 degrees. And with a class of over 500 it was not a short Graduation. The only upside was we got to stand in a gym while we waited to go outside (no AC or anything, just out of the sun). So our families had it worse having to be outside 30-45 minutes before we came out.

There are graduations outside..? why would they do that?

A large number of students without a gym/auditorium big enough to accommodate all of them plus their families and friends.

Yeah that makes sense.. Just didn't realize there were schools like that. I've gone to two and they both had room inside.. one had like 500 people graduate

Well, my school's is always inside but we only have like 170~ students graduate. All in all, there's like 1000 people in there and the gym is ridiculously crowded. I went to a school's that was outside and it was nicer simply because there was more room (still not enough though lolol) but it was so hot.

Ours is in our gym. We don't have air conditioning... And there is probably around a thousand people. At my old school, it had air conditioning.. but the huge vent was down on the floor by the band.. which is incredibly stupid because we were freezing but of course hot air rises so everyone besides us was burning. Oh and there were thousands of people

All the schools in my county have their graduation either in the gym/auditorium of the school, or in the basketball stadium for the local university.
