+295 Soon, being able to write cursive will be a skill that's on the level of being able to solve a rubiks cube. amirite?

That's so sad.:(

by Anonymous 11 years ago

How so?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well it's a beautiful way of writing and it would be a shame to loose the ability to write it, simply because people don't want to anymore.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ah, well, I don't really consider 'it being a beautiful way of writing' reason enough to warrant sadness.

So is slavery. The fruits of slave labor are certainly very high, but it's not really something we need (and in this case, shouldn't have).

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Cursive is awesome.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

How so? And the material/economical results of slavery were awesome as well.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well they're both pretty easy.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

They teach cursive in school. You have to learn it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't know about where you live, but in NC public schools have stopped making learning cursive mandatory. At least in my area...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You don't have to learn it in my school district.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

So you're saying anything not taught in school instantly becomes on par with being able to solve a rubix cube? I didn't learn to shit in a toilet at school but it's still not impressive.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's in our genes. Stop teaching humanity to walk and it'll be hard and perhaps future generations will stop doing it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That makes no sense. Humans initially didn't know how to walk and we figured that shit out. NIGGA.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's why I said in a toilet, it's called potty training. I didn't find cursive impressive when it was taught in school and I certainly don't now that it's not.

When you write really fast, your writing sometimes naturally looks like cursive. I don't know why it's such a big deal though...what difference does it make if you can connect your letters in a certain way when you write? It's communicating your ideas that matters.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Because your signature will start looking like comic sans.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

To me, the purpose of cursive is to have your own signature that is harder to copy, which is why they make you sign in cursive for important things like checks so no one can easily write your full name in that type of handwritting. All cursive is basically having your own style of writting with the letters connected together, it's not really something that has to be learned step-by-step and correctly written. (At least that's the way it is now)

In 2nd grade they taught us cursive and I never looked back. Now no one can read my handwriting and my print looks no better than it was in kindergarten.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It's not really that hard its just that a bunch of people don't like to do it and it sucks when your teacher forces you to write that way
