+309 It's annoying when you mention a song you like and someone says "That's an old song" as if that makes it bad. Music that is truly great is able to withstand the test of time, and you'll enjoy listening to it years after it was released as much as you did the first time you heard it, amirite?

People will get sick of a song so fast now. I've heard people call music from 2005 "really old." I listen to The Beatles and Oasis. THAT is old.

Two of my all-time favorite bands.

A lot of people nowadays don't have the patience to look past the Top 40 for their choices in musical selection, which is why when you listen to the radio, you're likely to hear "Errybody in the Club Gettin' Tipsy" played on request three times in one hour.

That song probably hasn't been on the top 40 in years.

It's ridiculous. My friends think it's "stupid" that I listen to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones because I'm 16 and they're "old". Seriously? Good music doesn't have an expiry date. This Avicii and Deadmau5 crap, however, does.

YES! THANK YOU! I cannot STAND it when I show someone something and they go "oh, thats old." SO WHAT?!

I've never heard anyone say that as a bad thing, just as an observation. I've noticed they normally only say it about songs that were on the Top 40 some years ago and almost never about songs that were out before they were born. LIke, I've heard people say that "Work Out" by J Cole is an old song, but never "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul.

At least to me when people say "oh this song is old" I take it as "oh this has been long since over played"

Music doesn't have a fucking expiration date.
