I did that lab, too. It separates tasters from non-tasters. Tasters tend to be picky eaters. Most people thought the paper was flavorless with us, though. Being a picky eater who doesn't like vegetables can actually be genetic!
This reminds me of an episode of Freaky Eaters I saw where a woman could only eat fries her whole life. They did DNA texting and found that her genes didn't follow any patterns (taster or non-taster), so unlike most people on the show, her problem was not just psychological. Literally every food besides fries repulsed her. Isn't it interesting?
She would gag and start crying if she even tried to eat something else. That was the genetics part, but after years of only tolerating fries, she became afraid of new foods. The people tried to get her to eat blue fries, and she couldn't even though they tastes regular. I'm not sure about the supplements, and they didn't say what she drank. She wasn't very overweight, either, which I was surprised to see.
Well, kind of. I wasn't allergic to any veggies then, and now I am. But as far as the actual point of the post goes, I like them now more than when I was young.
I like steamed veggies usually. Because they aren't so crunchy. I'm neutral with some veggies: Carrots soft or raw(not meant to sound sexual)are fine with me. Same with celery.
I live in America. My parents didn't even try to feed me vegetables.
Same here. It was all kid cuisine and candy growing up.
Fuck, I'm not even joking.
veggies...
...Turds
in general aswell
I still have an issue...
I had an issue with all food ever.
I'd prefer to never eat anything ever. But candy.
I actually loved broccoli and spinach. I was a weird kid...

I actually like veggies better now.
I used to like everything healthy: fruits, veggies, milk--the whole shabang.
I ate everything but spinach

When I was very young I refused to eat spinach because everyone on TV hated it. When I was a little older, I tried it and now I like it.
I can't eat most fruits and vegetables because the textures make me gag.

I'm a picky eater so I think the only veggie I've tried is the potatoe.
